Help us preserve French Polynesia’s fragile environment by limiting the risk of invasive species, whether animal or plant.

The importation of plants, plant products, animals, animal products, and foodstuffs into French Polynesia is strictly regulated.
Upon your arrival at Tahiti-Faa’a airport, you will be required to declare at the biosecurity counter, located after customs, any items of plant or animal origin, such as plants, food, seeds, flowers, etc.You can find more information at this link.
If you are traveling to the islands from Tahiti-Faa’a, you may unknowingly become a vector for invasive species and plant diseases, which some islands are still free from. The transport of plants and animals to the islands is subject to strict phytosanitary conditions, details of which can be found on the Biosecurity Directorate’s website.
