International

Package pick up from an international flight

Please make sure duties and taxes have been paid to the customs office before pick up at the International Freight Office. Once formalities have been completed, a pick-up voucher is handed to you, allowing for withdrawal of the goods.

Special goods of the type perishable foods, live animals require appropriate documentation for any removal of goods and is subject to prior inspection by the environmental and rural development services.

You will be able to pick up your goods with the following documents

  • Removal voucher
  • Original LTA

Dependant on the value of the imported goods, a commissioned freight forwarder (agent), may be required.

Storage fees may also be invoiced by the MAD manager.

Specific MADB procedure

The import of goods worth over XPF 200,000 is subject to a specific entry procedure. The goods are summarised, then deposited, then transferred to the MAD for standard withdrawal procedure.

Freight reception and pick up times:
Monday to Friday: 6 am. to 7 pm.
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 9:30 am. to 7 pm.

International

To ship a package abroad on your own behalf or professionally

Either choose to contract a freight forwarder professional to carry out the necessary formalities on your behalf.

The International Freight Office can also accompany you in your export process by introducing you to potential airlines representatives, depending on the destination.

In addition, the International Freight Bureau also processes goods for export once the voucher is obtained from the customs service. It controls the goods and Air Tahiti supervises the security control before storing the goods in the MAE zone.

The reception times are:

Monday to Friday: 7 am. to 3:30 pm.
